Lady Falcons play for Akari in PVL tilt

The Adamson University Lady Falcons Volleyball team will be playing for Akari in the Premier Volleyball League’s (PVL) Open Conference.

Leading the Falcons' charge with Akari is team captain Jemma Galanza, who played with Creamline in PVL’s Reinforced Conference, and team coach Airess Padda.

It will be Akari’s first time in fielding a team in the Premier Volleyball League. The tie-up with Adamson University is a show of Akari’s support to the University’s sports program. On the other hand, the Lady Falcons’ stint in the PVL would bolster minutes in the team’s competitive playing time in the off-season as the team readies itself for their bid in the 80th season of the UAAP.

The league’s open conference will be participated by eight teams: Akari, Hapee Toothpaste, Pocari Sweat, BaliPure, Creamline Cool Smashers, Philippine Air Force, Perlas Lady Spikers, and Power Smashers

The Premier Volleyball League, formerly known as the Shakey’s V-League, is scheduled to open on July 1 at the Filoil Flying V Arena in San Juan City.
